How many metro lines does Bucharest have?
Bucharest has 5 active metro lines: M1 (gold), M2 (blue), M3 (red), M4 (green) and M5 (orange), covering approximately 78 km across 63 stations.
Is the app free?
Yes, completely free on Android. No in-app purchases, no account required. Works 100% offline.
Does it work without internet?

Is this the official Metrorex app?
MetrouBUC is an independent app, unaffiliated with Metrorex S.A. It uses publicly available transport data to provide free, offline navigation.
What are the metro operating hours?
Metrou București runs daily from approximately 05:00 to 23:00. Exact departure times for every station are available offline in the app.
Is there a metro to Bucharest airport?
Not yet. The future M6 line linking the city to Henri Coandă Airport is under construction, estimated for ~2029. MetrouBUC shows the closest bus and train connections.
